On 5th April 2016, Malaysia Airlines made an announcement on the recommissioning of one of its Boeing 747-400 aircraft, inspired by the original livery.
The fact that the jumbo aircraft is making its comeback donning a retro livery created a lot of buzz among #AvGeeks worldwide. The “Queen of the Skies” has a huge fan base and already a lot of aviation enthusiasts trying to figure out when will this beautiful bird start gracing the skies above Malaysia.
Thanks to Malaysia Airlines, myself and a few others were given a chance to have a quick sneak peek at the freshly painted Boeing 747-400 registration 9M-MPP aircraft at the airlines’ hangar. Here are some of the photos that I think worth sharing.

As we get closer to the actual date of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747-400 first flight, I will try to bring as much as possible the latest updates on its schedules and hopefully photos, videos and stories from the first flight.
