{"id":4158,"date":"2014-11-27T22:39:48","date_gmt":"2014-11-27T14:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/?p=4158"},"modified":"2021-02-12T09:27:02","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T01:27:02","slug":"kl-international-airport-welcomes-the-airbus-a350","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/index.php\/2014\/11\/27\/kl-international-airport-welcomes-the-airbus-a350\/","title":{"rendered":"KL International Airport welcomes the Airbus A350"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Airbus brand new airliner, the A350XWB has been in town since yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>As part of an 11-day demonstration tour of Asia, the Airbus A350 XWB (MSN5) landed in KLIA shortly before noon on 26th November and had a full \u201cPR\u201d day today before it is scheduled to leave tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<p>This is the same airplane type that just completed its flight test campaign including a route proving exercise which brought the plane to cities like Hong Kong, Singapore and Perth. However, this current Asian tour is more of a \u201csales pitch\u201d kind of tour with Airbus showcasing the A350\u2019s superior credentials to potential customers in Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>While I am obviously not a \u201cpotential customer\u201d to place an order for this plane, I had the opportunity to make a quick trip (sacrificing my lunch time :P) to check out the arrival of the plane as well as a quick tour of the A350-900.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to FlightRadar24, I managed to catch KLIA\u2019s very first A350 landing along with a few other regular spotters at the end of the runway.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/\/1160.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"1000\" height=\"665\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/1160.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/1160-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/\/2142.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"1000\" height=\"665\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4160\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/2142.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.azuanzahdi.com\/wp-content\/2142-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After visiting Seoul, Tokyo, Hanoi and Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur becomes the final leg of this Asian tour. All the best to our local airlines considering to purchase this aircraft.
