Tanjung Jara Resort – An Unmistakably Malay Experience

When it comes to holidaying within Malaysia, I don’t usually visit a same place twice (balik kampong doesn’t count!) since there are so many options in our beautiful Malaysia. However Tanjung Jara Resort is so good that it deserves an exemption. I wrote about Tanjung Jara Resort back in 2009 and 5 years later here I am once again enjoying an awesome personal retreat at this beautiful resort.

Not many have changed since my last visit (which is a good thing) except for some upgrades here and there so I would not write another review. Instead here are some photos which I think is a great way of telling a story about this place.

Photos are not in any particular order. Let me know if you need more details on any of the photos.

I highly recommend Tanjung Jara for a relaxing uniquely Malay retreat. Take the package offered on the resort’s website for full experience of what the Resort has to offer but if you’re just into accommodation, check out here for some good deals.

Beautiful place.. i love our beautiful Malay arts and architecture. I wish our government is more proactive in recognizing that our own Malay architecture is something that can be showcased to the world rather than the overly idolizing middle eastern style buildings. Putrajaya is regrettably looks more like a middle eastern city rather than our own.
