The scenic and laidback fishing vilage of Lancelin turned out to be a perfect ‘pit stop’ for our trip to Cervantes. We had a good overnight rest and were able to enjoy Lancelin’s sand dunes first thing in the morning (click here to read my sand dune story).
Here’s a quick review post on the lovely Lancelin Lodge YHA.
Lancelin Lodge is a purpose-built budget travellers Lodge or in other words a backpackers/hostel kind of accommodation with awesome facilities and good rates. It is in a way catered for youth but technically we are young so it suits us well! 😛
This is also where I got lots of local info on Lancelin such as where to rent sandboards, places to eat, location of supermarket etc. Tips: If you want to buy a Lancelin souvenir (e.g.: keychains), you can try their supermarket. You would not find any in Perth’s CBD.
The room is pretty basic but clean and with heater so it is adequate for a short stay. We took the double room (private) with shared toilets + shower. Prices include sheets, pillows and continental quilt but not towels.
The spacious commercial kitchen area. We prepared our 1st day dinner and 2nd day breakfast and packed lunch at this kitchen.
The dining area.
The TV lounge.
Fancy for a game of table tennis?
