Firefly Review–Episode 16: SZB to AOR on FY2172
In this week review, I’ll be sharing my experience onboard another Firefly flight from Subang to Alor Setar. Similar to the review I did in Episode 13, this time I flew on board FY2172 operated by 9M-FYG ATR72-500 aircraft.
Joining me as always is of course my nephew EDY who is a regular flyer on this route. Just like before, he enjoyed every second of the flight!
It was a 5pm flight and it was a cloudy late afternoon. I was glad that despite the bumpy weather, heavy rains across Malaysia, all of Firefly flights that day were on-schedule with some arriving ahead of scheduled time of arrival.
My flight took off on time despite having full capacity of 72 passengers. It’s always a good load factor on this route and I hope more frequencies will be added once new aircrafts are here in the future.
As always, world class hospitality showed by the cabin crew FSS Shin Lee and FSS Kimberly. A typical Firefly experience.

I have a question:
Is it possible/safe to park my scooter at Skypark; then fly back 2days later?
Any suggestions?
While it may safe to do that, my personal suggestion is not to park your scooter there simply bcasue a)it’s open air parking and its rainy season b) 2 days is a bit too long for comfort.
This is strictly my personal opinion and i think you’re better off having someone to send you to SkyPark.
