Firefly Review: What is Next?

I am taking a week off from my weekly Firefly Airlines Review series. After nine interesting posts or ‘episodes’ published on AzuanZahdi.com, I’ve received numerous comments which most of it are constructive comments. Thank you for all your feedback and I shall continuously improve on my writing skills.

I have great time writing on Firefly Airlines. I have met new cool friends, built my personal contacts with the media and went through new experience all while doing something I enjoy doing. It is a satisfying experience to see my ‘episodes’ on Firefly were picked up from my blog and published on Firefly’s official blog.

It is however not a fun experience all the way. I’ve received a couple of harsh remarks on my reviews. I would be lying to say that it does not bother me at all but it is something that I’ve decided not to take it personally. One of the remarks bluntly accusing me of being the ‘dog’ of the airline by only writing good things about the airline and he or she (anonymous comment) even asked me how much do I get paid for writing the ‘good words’?

Let me just clear things up. I’ve been blogging for the last 4 years without a proper focus on a specific topic. This Firefly Airlines review is my first project in my attempt to have a theme that I can write about and create a bit of focus for my blog.

I chose airlines because aviation is something that I’m passionate about. I chose Firefly Airline as a subject simply because I’m a frequent flyer with the airlines, I have good experience with the airlines as a passenger and I love the business model of Firefly Airlines which has the fresh element of an entrepreneurial startup business.

I’m writing all these ‘episodes’ voluntarily and without any form of monetary commitment. In other words I did not get paid nor do I expect any payment for writing the reviews. I simply do it because I love doing it.

As I continue writing on Firefly Airlines, I’ve short listed some future topics to write on. These topics are something that I have in mind right now but it’s not really carved in stone. My website statistics showed that there are not less than 100 visitors that read my blog every day to get information on Firefly Airlines. I am now kindly requesting these visitors to help me decide on which topics should I write on for my future ‘episodes’.
