Penang Trip

Penang Trip

Just came back from a 24 hours 2 days 1 nite trip to Penang with my good friends…

Photos from the Penang Fun Trip

Penang Ferry….No Penang Overland trip is complete without a ride on Penang Classic Ferry and the Penang Bridge..we did both!

Komtar in sight…we’re finally in Penang, a “kedai kopi” idea became a reality on that day.

1st Stop: Bukit Bendera…Penang Hill (how come it;s not Flag Hill?) It was my 1st time in Penang hill and seriously the cable car is an interesting ride. If only Penang Govt/ Tourism can improve the service. It’s too crowded and the idea of packing 10 people in one small section of the cable car for a 20-minute ride is not good at all. Luckily the view is worth it.

Next Stop: Feringghi beach. My favourite part of the trip. I simply love Feringghi Beach. It’s common to hear that Malaysian beaches are dirty, polluted especially in penisular malaysia. However IMHO, Feringgi remains a beautiful sports/leisure beach that can be reached from the city for less than 40 minutes. How i wish i can have a nice beach house here for relaxing.

Relax…

This time, i tried Jet Skiing and Parasailing (2nd time). Parasailing is really cool. I did a touch n go in the middle of the sea and nearly lost my glasses! my landing was a bit hard compared to last time and my feet hurts for a few minutes. Still it’s worth the $$$. Jet ski was fun as well but too short and too expensive. It’s similar to ATV only it;s on water and way faster.

Ready to go…

Lalalalala…I’m flying without wings….

A zoom photo of me in action…setting up for landing..

A trip to Penang is not complete without pekena Nasi Kandar Line Clear! The best in town, Malaysia some say the World.

It;s a small, stuffy place to eat but it;s GOOD!

Day 2 we hit to Fort Cornwallis for some nice sights, history lessons and cute british-malay gal…

All and all we had fun lots of fun, a nice tan for less than RM250 including transportation, hotel, food and sports activities. If only i can manage Malaysia’s tourist attractions, i’ll turn them into a world class attractions. Malaysia tourism need to improve.

In 3 hours i’ll be leaving for sydney… :)
