Virginia Tech Mass Shooting…”Ismail Ax”?

I’ve been following this sad tragedy on CNN and the net and was really sad by what happened.

According to Yahoo News

Police identified the classroom shooter as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a senior from South Korea who was in the English department and lived in another dorm on campus. They said Cho committed suicide after the attacks, and there was no indication Tuesday of a possible motive.

According to Chicago Trbune Blog the shooter has left a note and what is even more scary or weird is “he died with the words “Ismail Ax” in red ink on the inside of one of his arms.”

So the question is who or what is Ismail Ax?

A website Boing Boing has a very interesting discussion on “Ismail AX”. Since at this time there’s no explaination to this; many started to suggest their own theories linking the nasty killer to “Ismail Ax”. The website is even showing a photo of a Korean Guy who co-incidently known as Ismail in indonesia. weird huh?

Personally i hope the killer has nothing to do with Islam. As a muslim and an Asian myself, it is clear that Islam has and will never encourage or recognize any forms of killing innocent people. My heart goes for those people involved in the shooting and their families.
