A1 Racing….World Cup of Motosports

Had so much fun watching the race live as i’m a huge fan of A1. I used to be a followetr of F1 but with A1 grand prix coming into the second season i thinik A1 offers far better entertainment. World Cup of Motorsports…interesting concept indeed. Race between nations, “For the pride of your country, gentrlemen starts your engines”….a combination of patriotism into sports, thats what i love bout it.
Anyway, the Sepang race was quite good. Alex Yoong had a poor start and early few laps before the 1st pit stop due to lack of tyre grip on wet track, however he made a better show after the stop and new sets of tyres. Here are some interesting things that i saw/experience besides the race:
a) The diversity of the crowd in grand stand, unlike F1, in A1 race you see normal people, from the rich to the commoner sitting enxt to each other, in F1 a grandstand seat cost easuly RM500 -RM2000, in A1 everything is RM100…thats what i call REAL RACE FOR REAL PEOPLE! Rich people go play with your own Mercedes, Porches and Feraris in a corner…
b) The Real Malaysians. People actually stand up and sing negaraku national anthem when it was played b4 the race. One stupid fucking singaporean family actually just sit down and ignore everybody who were standing during the anthem. Even the americans, australians and others showed respect…stupid assholes..
c) Expensive ear-plugs…RM10 for a pair of ear plugs…i should brought it from home..its ok lesson learnt…
All and all it was a great experience….thanks to my gal who proviided the free tickets…GO Malaysia!
