I survived the 1st week….

“Different”

If i have to describe my one week of experience in my new company, Colgate-palmolive, this is how i describe it. It;s very subjective…is it different in a good way or a bad way?

Well coming from a short stint in p morris, the expectation was different. I was expecting a young and energetic workforce similar to the one that i saw in my previous company as well as in some other MNCs but that is not the case so far. Most of the workforce are middle-aged and it’s totally different. Ways to interact, initiate a conversation even saying “Hi” seems different….

And now i just been told about the possibility of being posted during the traineeship….my 1st reaction was “Fuck, i made the wrong decision joining this company” but later on when i a bil calmed down, i start to take this as an opportunity to prove myself. 5 months is a damn fucking long time…… imagine being sending to a “war zone” without proper training…this is what i’m gonna discuss with the HR tomorrow…

Back to the topic, 1st week was rather basic stuff but kind of fun learning bout the company. I got the oppoertunity to join the Oral Healt Month in Penang and was in charge of selling and attracting people to do free dental check-ups. Nice experience. Reminds me of my SIFE community outreach programs. Next time u see a guy selling toothpaste that guy might hold an MBA hahaha…

here;s one pic of friday day-trip to penang..

Tomorrow gonna be another week of adventure!
